Sharing custom content using workgroup folders
When Vectorworks Design Suite is installed, you can create a workgroup environment to share custom content files with coworkers. These files might contain content that will be used by all users (such as templates, symbols, or workspaces) or content specific to different projects. Place the files in a shared location, and then each user who needs access to those files can designate that shared folder as a workgroup folder in the Vectorworks Preferences, so that the content will be available in the Vectorworks program. Depending on the content, a specific folder structure might be required.
Here are some examples of possible workgroup folder content:

To create and designate a shared workgroup folder:
Create a main workgroup folder in a shared location, on either a local network or a cloud-based storage service such as Dropbox.
Select the command, and then click the User Folders pane.
Click Add, and then locate and select the workgroup folder. A set of folders is automatically added to the workgroup folder.
Create and add custom files to the appropriate locations in the workgroup folder as needed.
Notify other users so they can also designate the folder as a workgroup folder.
